Local Council for the Protection and Promotion of the Rights of Children and Adolescents
The Local Council for the Protection and Promotion of the Rights of Children and Adolescents consists of a space for participation, comprised of more than 70 organizations and institutions of the Municipality, including the Secretariat for Social Development, the Ministry of Culture and Education and the Participatory Boards of Neighborhood Management. It is a Council that meets periodically to analyze, develop and plan policies aimed at the promotion and protection of the rights of the child. The Council works in the following areas: educational spaces; the right to identity and access to programs and services; participation and social articulation; artistic and cultural production, recreation and sports; child mistreatment and abuse; social housing, housing and the environment; and community health.
