Neighborhood Improvement Program (PROMEBA)
The Neighborhood Improvement Program (PROMEBA) seeks to improve the quality of life through the social integration and urban inclusion of economically disadvantaged sectors. It is a program that at the neighborhood level calls for different types of deliberation and participation, such as Management Boards, Executing Units and Multidisciplinary Field Teams to listen and include the visions of the population residing in villages and irregular settlements with respect to urbanization programs, installation of infrastructure and generation of public spaces and recreation. Through this program, state agencies, neighborhood organizations, utilities, construction companies, professional associations and civil society organizations come together to define comprehensive neighborhood projects and carry out some of the actions that the projects envisage.
