School Snack Committee
The School Snack Committee was created as an initiative of the Director of the Educational Center with the support of the Promoter of the Healthy Schools Program and the active participation of the parents who, besides preparing the products, are aware of the quantities and nutritional values of the snacks that are given to the students. Among the activities of the Committee are the preparation and delivery of school meals to students in schools, the analysis and settling of issues related to economic contributions. They aim to improve school snacks as well as the payment of transportation, the causes and consequences of school absenteeism, and the accountability on quotas and food delivered by parents. The committee is represented by the parents that form the Board of Directors.
