Forum to assess the situation of the LGTBI community

The Forum to assess the situation of the LGTBI community was an opportunity for different representatives of civil society organizations, international cooperation agencies, and citizens in general to discuss the compliance with human rights norms in areas such as sexual identity, education, employment and political participation. They presented the "Report on the situation of fundamental human rights of sexual diversity in Honduras 2014" and the book "The face of discrimination: Stories about Discrimination and Violence on the grounds of Sexual Diversity." Both documents summarize the main demands of this community. The forum was attended by representatives of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (COSUDE), which support the different projects of LGTBI groups in Honduras. The international and non-governmental organizations: Hivo People Unlimited, Trust and Red Lactrans, and the World Bank (WB) were also involved.
