Consultation forums for people with disabilities and their families
The Consultation Forums for People with Disabilities and their Families were carried out in the cities of Tegucigalpa, San Pedro Sula, Intibucá, Comayagua, Santa Rosa de Copán, and Choluteca, within the framework of updating the Public Policy for the Exercise of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and their Social Inclusion. The forums were spaces that allowed people with disabilities and civil society organizations to be consulted on the problems faced by this population group, as well as possible solutions. During 2012 and 2013, a number of working sessions were held, whereby important progress was achieved in setting priorities and objectives, which should be achieved through the drafting and implementation of public policies.
