Observatory on Violence against Women
The Observatory of Violence against Women was created by Law No. 7863 with the purpose of monitoring the situation of violence against women in the province of Salta, as well as the public policies that seek to address it. The ultimate goal of the observatory is to contribute to safeguarding women's right to a life free of violence. The observatory is made up of representatives of the government sector at the provincial level, the academic sector and civil society organizations with experience in the area of gender violence. In addition to monitoring reports and statistics, the Observatory releases recommendations for the formulation of public policies with gender perspective.
