Transportation Advisory Council

The Transportation Advisory Council, created by the Municipality of Santa Rosa, is composed of representatives of government agencies who deal with urban transportation issues, and non-governmental organizations with an interest in the subject that are invited to participate. Among the latter are the Argentine Red Cross, Chambers of Commerce, driving schools and foundations. The purpose of the Council is to propose initiatives to improve mobility in the city, placing special emphasis on the prevention of traffic accidents. The Council is organized into the following committees: Legislation, Inspection and Traffic Control; Education, Training and Driver's License; and Signaling and Infrastructure, which work autonomously and meet once a month in a general plenary of commissions to discuss the proposals of each commission. In 2020, the Council influenced the regulation of mobility during the mandatory lockdown period established to reduce the spread of coronavirus.
