Rescuing Mailboxes Collaborative Mapping
The collaborative mapping rescuing mailboxes is an initiative of the NGO " Rescuing Mailboxes ", which seeks to geolocate mailboxes throughout the country. The mapping is available online and is updated by the NGO's staff. Its aim is to provide information about the location and condition of mailboxes, to later on repair them if necessary, and to promote their use and recognition as part of the cities' heritage. Those who wish to participate in the mapping must send the location of the mailbox in question and a picture of it to the NGO's social networks, which then add the record to the digital map.
