Local Council for the Promotion and Protection of Children and Teenagers' Rights
The Local Council for the Promotion and Protection of Children and Teenagers' Rights was created by municipal decree 11225/12, and it is an agency that reports to the Municipality of General San Martín. It is made up of representatives of local governmental entities and civil society organizations that work on subjects related to the rights of children and teenagers. The Council is responsible for the formulation of local policy targeting children and teenagers, which also advises the local Executive on such matters. The representatives of non-governmental organizations that make up the Council perform their duties ad honorem and are elected by an Assembly of registered governmental organizations, which is convened by the Municipality for that purpose.
