Citizen Consultation (Permanence in the Head of Government position)
The Citizen Consultation is an instrument for hearing the opinion of the citizenry on any topic with relevant impact in the different areas of Mexico City. In 2004, the Head of Government of Mexico City (formerly the Federal District) called on the inhabitants to participate in a public consultation to decide on his permanence at the head of the administration. 53% of the participants voted in favor of the Head of Government continuing in his position.
Institutional design
