National Dialogue (1997)
The space for the National Dialogue (1997) was convened by the government of the then newly elected President Arnoldo Alemán, with the help of the Ethics and Transparency NGO, to discuss with other political parties and civil society organizations about the political reconfiguration of the country. There were 112 thematic agreements, although the main reason for the call was linked to land ownership.
