Techo Panama
"Techo" was implemented in Panama in 2010, while the project expanded throughout the Latin American region.The main objective of this project is the community development of precarious settlements, the promotion of social action and the denunciation of the social exclusion faced by vulnerable populations. The project is carried out in three phases: the first is the evaluation of selected territories; the second is the participatory planning of solutions to different problems (mainly related to community infrastructure), which is done in conjunction with volunteers and citizens and is based on the results of the initial diagnosis; and the third phase in the implementation of said agenda. Within the framework of this methodology and until 2017, Techo Panama has worked together with 15,000 people in 20 communities of the country. In addition, this organization also conducts leadership workshops every Sunday in these communties.
