Open Government Action Plan

The Open Government Action Plan is the participatory and multisectorial plan in which the government of Peru expresses its goals and activities for the implementation of open government standards in accordance with the initiatives and measures proposed by the Open Government Partnership, of which it is a member since 2011. This alliance aims to promote transparency, citizen participation, professional integrity and ethics of public officials, and the use of new technologies to improve citizen access to information and public services. In order to achieve these objectives, the Peruvian government convened a group composed of state, private and civil society entities, responsible for producing a document in which short- and medium-term commitments were set in stone to meet the objectives of the initiative. For this, a process was outlined with various instances for incorporation of contributions from public and private organizations, as well as from civil society. The result of this joint and concerted development process were the Open Government Action Plans for the years 2012-2013 and 2014-2016.
