Miraflores' First Hackathon
The District of Miraflores in partnership with the civil organization Hack Space Perú launched Miraflores' First Hackathon on May 2015. The two-day event was meant to promote citizen participation and collaboration with the district?s government in order to develop innovative solutions using public open data. Twenty teams and over 100 participants joined the hackathon. The first place went to Mira Place, an app that allows users to obtain quick and effective information about the district?s cadaster. The winner app and two of the runner ups were developed and made available to the general public of the district.
