UY Check

UYCheck is a web platform created by citizens that aims to carry out the task of data verification. More specifically, UYCheck is dedicated to monitoring what is said in the political arena of Uruguay. At first they select the phrases to be verified according to the relevance of the subject and the person who said it. They then use this same person as well as different official sources to make an assessment of the truth of what has been said. In this way, people who access the UYCheck platform will be able to see not only the final qualification (true, false, half-true, etc.) but also a full analysis of how that conclusion was reached. In addition to this, they also check Tweets of politicians and report on events or specific phenomena. The ultimate goal of UYCheck is to collaborate with the promotion of critical thinking of Uruguayan citizens through this friendly technology tool.
