PREPA
"PREPA" (lit. "Prep") is the name that the Local Council of Montevideo's Municipality B gave to the participatory budget for children and adolescents. This participatory experience sought not only to determine the destination of UYU 500,000 to the proposals presented and chosen by the younger neighbors of the area, but also to "prepare" them for citizen participation and civic life. The conditions to participate were: to be a resident or have activities in Municipality B, and to be between 9 and 18 years old. The proposals must be of public use for the community and the most voted ones will be executed with the municipal budget. Editions were made in 2013 and 2014.
