Victim's Monitor

Victim's Monitor is an initiative implemented by the civil organization "Caracas Mi Convive" and the journalistic media "Runrun.es" with the objective of identifying patterns of violence in Caracas in order to design public policies that reduce the levels of violence. In response to the lack of official data, this initiative systematizes the collection of data related to violence and homicides in the five municipalities of the Caracas Capital District. The data is collected and systematized by journalists, who in turn receive information from citizens. The data collected is fed into a database that allows for the elaboration of statistics and journalistic and academic research on violence. Additionally, this initiative provides psychological support and legal assistance to victims of violence in Caracas.
