Prior Consultation with the Indigenous Peoples of the Isidoro Sécure Territory and National Park

The Prior Consultation with the Indigenous Peoples of the Territory and National Park Isidoro Sécure was organized to define, among other issues: 1) whether the territory in question was a protected zone or not; 2) the facilitation of indigenous peoples' activities; 3) the construction of a highway; and 4) the establishment of measures for the protection of the Indigenous Territory and the Isiboro Sécure National Park. The consultation process was widely criticized by human rights organizations and other observers after numerous irregularities where detected during the process.
