Legislative Citizen Initiative
The Citizen Legislative Initiative is a mechanism of democratic participation through which citizens who agree to a bill formulate the text and collect a number of signatures to send them to the Plurinational Legislative Assembly, which is constitutionally obligued to give it an immediate treatment and cannot refuse it. If the Assembly does not fulfill its constitutional duty, a referendum may be called.
