National Conference of Brazilian Communities Abroad

The National Conference of Brazilian Communities Abroad is a national conference conducted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the aim of strengthening the dialogueue between the Brazilian government and the communities of Brazilians abroad. Its first edition took place in 2008, and since then four other editions were organized - the latest, in 2016. The conference is open to all Brazilians living abroad, as well as any other person interested in participating, in accordance with the terms previously defined by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The results of the conferences are recorded in their respective minutes, which should consolidate the demands of general interest proposed by the plenary and serve as a reference for the definition of programs and actions within government policies for Brazilian communities abroad. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other related bodies submit a summary of governmental actions implemented for Brazilian communities abroad using the minutes with the community?s demands.
