Council of Labor Relations
The Council of Labor Relations, created on September 2nd, 2010, and altered on April 20th, 2011, is a guiding, tripartite and equally-representated collegiate body. The council?s goal is to give its opinions on proposals regarding the democratization of labor relations in the country, the continuous update of union and labor legislation, the fostering of collective negotiation, the self-composition of conflicts in the work area, the creation of a favorable environment for job generation and decent work conditions - through dialogueue and negotiation between the government, employers and workers. The plenary of the council holds ordinary meetings every two months. The councilors that represent employers and workers have a two-year term with the possibility of two renewals.
