State Councils of Public Security
The State Councils of Public Security are responsible for discussing and deciding on public policies and actions in the field of state public security, as well as its operation. The councils are comprised of government and civil society representatives; in particular, representatives of the Security Departments, of the Military Police, of the Military Firefighters Corps, and the civilian police, and representatives of the Order of Attorneys of Brazil and human rights entities.
