Municipal Councils for the Rights of Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transvestites and Transgender (LGBT)
The Municipal Councils for the Rights of Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transvestites and Transgender (LGBT) are collegial, autonomous and permanent bodies that are advisory, deliberative and propositive in character. Their main goal is to promote the citizenship and defend the rights of the LGBT population. The council?s main task is the development of integrated and coordinated actions together with other departments and public bodies in order to implement public policies committed to overcoming discrimination and inequalities due to sexual orientation and gender identity.
