School Buses' Thematic Chamber
The School Buses' Thematic Chamber was created to advise the Municipal Transportation and Transit Council. Its purpose is to monitor existing policies related to school buses in the city, and to make recommendations to improve them and/or create new policies. Among the topics discussed are rules of circulation for school buses, criteria for renewing the vehicles, policies to encourage the use of school buses and reduce personal vehicle traffic, free school bus programs, and apps to evaluate the school bus service. The Chamber includes representatives of school buses' unions and associations, NGOs working on childhood and disability issues, and public administration agencies that are willing to be part of the Chamber.
