Unit for Citizen Participation and Participatory Budgets
The Unit for Citizen Participation and Participatory Budgets is an entity, created within the Regional Government of Los Ríos in 2014, with the purpose of promoting and facilitating citizen participation in the performance of the Regional Government, as well as the decentralized bodies associated with the coastal territory. Among its main functions is to democratize information, implement regional participatory budgets and promote community action in planning and territorial management. Among the activities registered by this Unit are the dialogues for the creation of a Regional Citizen Participation Policy and the seminars for the elaboration of the participatory budget.
