District Council of Cultural Houses
The District Council of Cultural Houses was created as a setting for the District System of Art, Culture and Heritage of the Capital District, within the Local Subsystem of Art, Culture and Heritage. The Council is a setting for the meeting, deliberation, participation and coordination of public and private policies, plans and programs and the respective strategic lines of investment for the development of the Cultural Houses of Bogotá, in which representatives of the organizations of the sector of the cultural houses of the Local Councils of Art, Culture and Heritage, that also are part of the Subsystem, participate. Initially, the District System of Culture was created in 2002, and therein the creation of local systems of culture was indicated, but it was not until 2007 that the District Council of Cultural Houses was included, when a reform to this District System and established the District System of Art, Culture and Heritage with the Local Subsystem of Art, Culture and Heritage.
