Cultural Boards
The Cultural Boards were created as a component of the District System of Art, Culture and Heritage of the Capital District, and are settings for the meeting, deliberation, participation and coordination of the agendas of the sectors of which they are formed and develop processes in the dimensions of the art, culture and heritage fields. Representatives of associations, organizations, trade unions, networks, corporations and entities related to their sector participate in them. Initially, the District System of Culture was created in 2002, but it was not until 2007, when a reform was made to this District System and the District System of Art, Culture and Heritage was established, which included the Boards that at that time was named the District Boards of Educational Institutions and Research Centers and Non-Governmental Organizations. Later, in 2009, the corresponding article was modified and they were called Cultural Boards, and the Cultural Boards were created: of Educational Institutions and Research Centers; Non-Governmental Cultural Organizations; Handcrafted Goods; and Museums. Representatives of the Cultural Boards participate in the District Council of Art, Culture and Heritage, which is also part of the District System of Art, Culture and Heritage.
