National Council for Agrarian Reform and Development for the Rural Poor
The National Council for Agrarian Reform and Development for the Rural Poor is an initiative created in 1994 with the Agrarian Reform and Development for the Rural Poor, in order to support and assist the Ministry of Agriculture in formulating the policy and plans in charge of the National Agrarian Reform and Development for the Rural Poor in the field of acquisition and adjudication of land to the rural poor. The Council is made up of representatives of the Ministries and of the institutes, departments and national funds working on the subject by representatives of peasant organizations, representatives of indigenous organizations, a representative of private trade organizations of the national order, representatives of the Farmers' Association of Colombia, and representatives of the Colombian Federation of Cattlemen.
