Educational Parks
The Educational Parks are public spaces created in different municipalities of the Department of Antioquia, where the whole community can be found to develop their individual and collective capacities from formal and non-formal education. The creation of these Parks seeks to promote science, innovation, culture, play, entrepreneurship and citizenship. The Parks were created under an initiative of the Governor of Antioquia, Sergio Fajardo (2012-2016), from which a call was made in 2012 such that the municipalities of the Department could have a park built. During these calls the citizens had the opportunity to propose to the Mayor of their municipality their idea of an Educational Park. Likewise, the citizens could express how they qualify the commitment of the municipalities with the education. The Government has approved and planned the construction of 80 Parks.
