Local Observatories
The Local Observatories are virtual platforms constituted in 2011 in four locations in Bogota, which seek to generate new relations between citizens and local governments through technology. The objectives of the Observatories when they were created were that information could be provided in real time to the citizens, such that it could follow up and monitor the management of the Local Mayor and could participate by proposing investment and public management initiatives for the formulation Of the Local Development Plan for the 2013-2016 period. The four locations that participated in the initiative were Engativá, Chapinero, Tunjuelito and Teusaquillo. However, only Engativá maintains its platform in operation, and information has not been found in any of them with which to know the results of the proposals of the citizenry for the Local Development Plans.
