Previous study for the installation of the House of Justice and Peace of Pococí
The previous study for the installation of the House of Justice and Peace of Pococí was carried out by the Foundation for Peace and Democracy (FUNDAPEM) with funding from the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation for Development (AECID). Its main purpose was to provide the necessary information to the State for the subsequent operation of a House of Justice and Peace that would serve the cantons of Siquirres, Guácimo and Pococí. This project strengthened the governing institution in national planning (MIDEPLAN) and improved universal access to justice as a mechanism to guarantee processes of democratic governance, all in accordance with the National Development Plan 2011-2014 that promoted the modernization of the State and Access to Justice.
