Process of approval for the National Policy of Territorial Planning 2012-2040
The process of approval for the National Policy for Territorial Planning (Span. PNOT) 2012-2040 began after the preparation of the policy by the Ministry of Housing and Human Settlements, exercising the Rectory of the Territorial Planning and Housing Sector, in accordance with the goals and actions determined by the 2011-2014 ?María Teresa Obregón Zamora National Development Plan". This policy was approved after a process of public consultation at the 4th Sectoral Council and was later formalized by Decree. The initiative presents three axes of territorial development that seek to strengthen the principle of the common good: habitat quality, environmental protection and management, and territorial competitiveness.
