Youth and Human Rights Forum

The civil society organization Casa Comunitaria de Justicia (Community House of Justice), a sub-unit of the Citizen Participation organization, organized the Youth and Human Rights Forum on April 4, 2014 with representatives of youth organizations, mayors of the respective cities, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Youth and other relevant civil society organizations in Santo Domingo, Santiago and La Vega. Around 400 participants were counted in Santiago and La Vega and about 200 in Santo Domingo. The main objective of the Forum was to include young people in public dialogue and to educate on the rights of youth, as well as to develop and encourage youth participation. The forum was part of the Citizen Participation project on the sustainability and impact of the Community Justice Houses, which was jointly organized with USAID.
