Advisory Council for Women
Formerly named the Council of the General Directorate for the Advancement of Women, this body was later promoted to the State Secretariat and currently has rank in the Ministry, in which there are different state sectors with representatives of NGOs and civil society mobilized for the defense of rights and guarantees for Women. It is intended to work in conjunction with the Sectorial Council to advise the Ministry on the development of specific policies and programs that are oriented on gender issues.
