National Council for the Equality of Persons with Disabilities
The National Council for the Equality of Persons with Disabilities is the deliberative and consultative body established at the national level from the Organic Law of Councils for Equality and the National Law of Participation. It is made up of representatives of civil society and the State, with the aim of facilitating and guiding the development and integration of policies for mobility and guaranteeing rights in Ecuador, whether at the private or public level. Created through the 2008 Constitution, it came to replace the "National Disability Council". Together with the other councils for equality, it is a central mechanism in the new conception of participation established by the Federal Constitution of 2008.
