WikiCOESC+i

WikiCOESC+i is a digital platform promoted by the Secretariat of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (Span. Senescyt) in order to promote the collective construction of the Code of Social Economy of Knowledge and Innovation (Span. COESC + i). This platform largely follows the methodology used by Wikipedia. It allows free access to the public who can submit proposals, which after being debated, may be included in the Code of Social Economy. Likewise, the platform enables the presentation of comments and observations that are expected to be debated in the National Assembly. To access this collective building space you must enter the link: coesc.educacionsuperior.gob.ec. The initiative was launched in 2014. At the beginning of 2017, it had more than 38 300 open editions by the public, with around 3 300 000 visits.

Mode of Selection of Participants: is the innovation open to all participants, access is restricted to some kind of condition, or both methods apply?

Type of participants: those who participate are individual citizens, civil society organizations, private stakeholders or a combination of those?

Decisiveness: does the innovation takes binding, non-binding or no decision at all?
