Ludotecas

Ludotecas is a project carried out by the Futuro Foundation with the financing of "Solidarité Amilloise pour San Vicente" in the commune of the province of Manabi, on the north coast of Ecuador, where two play centers were created: Centurión in 2004 and Nueva Esperanza in 2005. The general objective of these spaces is to enable the most disadvantaged children and young people of San Vicente to develop in a playful way and to integrate into society through an alternative entertainment space, the development of intra-family bonds and the evolution of play in its educational dimension. Weekly participation at these spaces is about 70 children between 3 and 15 years. Since 2005, 468 children have frequented the play centers.

Formalization: is the innovation embedded in the constitution or legislation, in an administrative act, or not formalized at all?

Frequency: how often does the innovation take place: only once, sporadically, or is it permanent or regular?

Mode of Selection of Participants: is the innovation open to all participants, access is restricted to some kind of condition, or both methods apply?

Type of participants: those who participate are individual citizens, civil society organizations, private stakeholders or a combination of those?

Decisiveness: does the innovation takes binding, non-binding or no decision at all?
