Compromisómetro
The Compromisómetro (lit. Commitment-meter) is a digital platform on which a special team follows the commitments made in Ecuador?s 2017 presidential campaign with regards to the environment and the public, and evaluates how engaged the candidates are to completing those goals. The platform has a public access scoring system, and the admins monitor the media to update the online database, which then shows how candidates move in real time across the commitment chart. The main 'commitments' followed by the platform are: stopping the extractivist exploitation, starting by the Yasuní area; Guaranteeing the true political participation of society through the implementation of Direct Democracy mechanisms; and Stopping the criminalization of environmental activists. In total, 7 issues are open to commitment and 8 candidates are monitored.
