Comptroller's Office of the Solidarity Rural Communities Program
The Citizen Comptroller's Office of the Solidarity Rural Communities Program was a citizens' initiative to monitor and evaluate a social fund program in the municipalities of the North-eastern Region of Morazán. The main objective was to improve regional public management through the involvement of the citizens of the municipalities exercising social control. Local and regional institutions, citizens and government participated in the process. The members of the project included the Local Development Committee, the Intermunicipal Citizen Association for Local Development and the Cabinet of Departmental Management and the Northeastern Region of Morazán.
