National Plan for Development, Protection and Social Inclusion 2014-2019
The National Plan for Development, Protection and Social Inclusion 2014-2019 was created within the framework of the approval of the Law on Development and Social Protection and aims to reduce poverty and guarantee equal opportunities among citizens of El Salvador. This plan was submitted to a process of consultation and citizen validation. With this objective, consultations were implemented in citizen assemblies within 14 departments of the country, which were organized by the Secretariat of Participation, Transparency and Anti-Corruption. In these assemblies, the main contents of the plan were presented to be discussed in working groups by the more than 550 participants in order to present their conclusions and have them reflected in the plan. Members of civil society, as well as representatives of different social organizations and government institutions, participated in the consultation and validation process.
