Development of El Salvador's National Action Plan 2018-2020
El Salvador's National Action Plan 2018-2020 was implemented within the framework of the Alliance for Open Government with the objective of promoting transparency and accountability in the public administration. Participatory strategies were implemented for the development of this plan and actions were coordinated with civil society through the Open Government Observatory. Specifically, for the construction of the plan, electronic consultations and workshops were held, and the sending of proposals by e-mail or post was encouraged in order to guarantee the active participation of citizens, civil society, and government institutions. A total of 141 citizen proposals were received for the National Plan.
