State Councils for the Persons with Disabilities
The State Councils for the Persons with Disabilities are consultative and autonomous bodies that have the administrative and technical support of the state agencies represented by them. They are responsible for advising the state government on issues related to persons with disabilities. The councils monitor, evaluate and propose public policies as well as promote the dissemination of ideas and studies within the state government. The organ is also responsible for conducting and disseminating awareness campaigns together with civil society and other public bodies.
