National Commission for the Prevention and Fight against Domestic Violence
The National Commission for the Prevention and Fight against Domestic Violence is a body created within the scope of the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic, with the objective of creating a space for consultation and monitoring. The space has multi-organizational representation of diverse sectors of the state and the participation of two representatives of Civil Society Organizations with trajectory in the field of the fight against domestic violence. This body has the power to support the development of concrete policies to combat gender-based violence, as well as to monitor existing causes and the implementation of awareness programs. They have been active since 1998.
