National Council for the Protection and Development of Migrants and their Families (Conmigrants)

The National Council for the Protection and Development of Migrants and their Families (Conmigrants) is an autonomous institution of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador, made up of government representatives, Salvadoran associations abroad, as well as other sectors such as universities and private companies. At its creation, the purpose was to create a new space to include the voice of Salvadoran migrants in the creation of policies for themselves and their families, as well as for the monitoring of such policies. It also seeks to promote compliance with law and human rights, as well as the coordination and empowerment of Salvadoran communities abroad.
