Collective Construction of the Ten Year Education Plan

The Collective Construction of the Ten Year Education Plan is a process that has been carried out every 10 years since 1996 to build a Plan for improving Education in Colombia. This process is carried out collectively with citizens, universities, research centers, experts and people from all social sectors interested in education, through online thematic surveys, participation in online and virtual forums, municipal, departmental and regional forums throughout the country, until the final composition of the Plan. With the construction of these Decennial Plans it has been possible to consolidate a model of State Policy in Education, beyond the contexts and political interests of the day. In addition, the plans have promoted the inclusion of people from all social sectors and regions to enable them to record their visions, dreams, ideas and proposals in the drafting of these Plans.
